Casually Destroying the Past

One does not casually destroy the past, even those parts that are toad ugly. At least one does not do so on a whim. It is wrong to destroy without knowing what is being destroyed.

Jack Cady in Seven Sisters from “The Dark: New Ghost Stories”

We, as a society, are very careless with our history. We ignore the parts that are not flattering and dramatize the good parts. We need to learn from the truth of our past.

This quote is for April 10, 2017.
