Zero from "The Grand Budapest Hotel"
Just as the Grand Budapest Hotel lost its magnificence,
civilization has lost its courteousness and charm. We are no longer a society
that cares about helping others. We have become so obsessed with individuality
and the pursuit of self-satisfaction. We no longer care how our words and
actions affect each other or even the grand scheme of the human race. In this
quote Zero was talking about M. Gustave, a man who still holds on to his
manners, even in the face of death itself.
